Our approach to emergencies
We practice conservative, evidence-based dentistry - we recommend what you need, not what inflates a bill. In an emergency, our priority is to relieve your pain, assess the situation fully, and give you a clear picture of your options before any treatment begins.
Sedation available
If you're in significant pain or anxious about emergency treatment, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation to keep you comfortable. Both options are available for adults and children. Let us know when you call so we can prepare.

Emergency dental FAQs
Do you offer same-day emergency dental appointments?
Yes. Crown Isle Dental offers same-day consultations for urgent dental situations. Call 250-338-2599 as early as possible and our team will get you in.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Common dental emergencies include severe toothaches, broken or chipped teeth, broken crowns and fillings, abscesses or swelling, and knocked-out teeth. If you are in pain or have suffered dental trauma, call us - we will advise you on next steps.
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Call Crown Isle Dental immediately at 250-338-2599. Keep the tooth moist - hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently if dirty, and place it in milk or between your cheek and gum if possible. Time is critical for knocked-out teeth.
Can I use sedation for an emergency appointment?
Yes. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation are available for emergency appointments. Let us know when you call so we can arrange this in advance. Oral sedation requires a driver; nitrous oxide does not.
Do you accept new patients for emergency care?
Yes. Crown Isle Dental is currently accepting new patients of all ages, including for emergency appointments. Call 250-338-2599.
